Rocket's guardian writes:

Rocket, a Jack Russell Terrier, started riding motorcycles whilst only a one year old pup. First as a pillion in a holdall between myself (also pillion,) and old riding buddy Fegus. Rocket enjoyed the Ride so much he was giving Fergus a good licking every few miles. we rode
about 90 miles to the Yorkshire Motorcycle Action Group to the "FARMYARD PARTY", where Rocket played hard and spent his first night under canvas. On our return i set about making a bag to fit on the fuel tank so Rocket could travel in style. With a body harness on and adog lead attached to me (conforms with UK traffic laws) Since then Rocket has travelled all over England and Scotland on many makes of Motorcycles. His present ride is a BMW GS 1150 fitted with a mark 4 bag. He is also a active member of the"MOTORCYCLE ACTION GROUP" (N.E.Lincs) He has also had a few photos, letters and stories published in the ROAD the magazine of the"MOTORCYCLE ACTION GROUP" plus he must be one of the most photographed dogs in the UK. In July this year Starting from John o Groats Scotland, we will be setting off on a Grand Tour of Europe via France,Switzerland,Hungry,Romania,Bulgaria returning to attend rallies in Scotland and Northern Ireland in September. Liberate a Dog !

We'd like to remind people that there are a lot of wonderful dogs waiting to be adopted at your local animal shelter.
You can also offer to volunteer to walk sheltered dogs while they await adoption.
The dogs love getting to leave their cages for a walk!
Please visit our adoption page for featured "Shelter-of-the-Month" and list of places to adopt.

Also visit Dogs On Bikes a website dedicated to motorcycle-riding canines!
