11/13/06 - Welcome, Nugget
a true U.S. nomad of the lower 48 states!

Nugget came into our lives during our second year of full-time RV living when we were wintering in Austin, TX. We live in a 41’ custom 5th wheel trailer (with a separate garage) that we haul our Harley’s in! Check out our website to see photos of our rig and highlights of our travels (and more of Nugget) at:

Nugget was a rescue dog who has been a blessing to our lives. Since we are all about riding, we tried many ways of carrying her on Paul’s Road King, and finally settled on modifying his luggage rack so she could ride comfortably in all weather conditions.

She has gone on many day rides with us in a variety of states. Nugget completed her first 1200 mile camping trip through the western state of Colorado in August of 2006. She did great and absolutely loved riding and camping in a tent! We all loved the 900 mile loop (hotel-ing it) from VA to the Outer Banks in North Carolina in April of 2007.

We definitely feel she has earned her Biker Dog Patch and have sewn it on her carrier cover for all to see. It is displayed with pride!

Liberate a Dog !

We'd like to remind people that there are a lot of wonderful dogs waiting to be adopted at your local animal shelter.
You can also offer to volunteer to walk sheltered dogs while they await adoption.
The dogs love getting to leave their cages for a walk!
Please visit our adoption page for featured "Shelter-of-the-Month" and list of places to adopt.

Also visit Dogs On Bikes a website dedicated to motorcycle-riding canines!
