We are sad to learn that Hector passed away on February 20th, 2011. More information here:
Hello from Gananoque, Ontario, Canada!
Hector, The Wonder Dog, has been riding for over a year now in the sidecar of our '05 Ural Tourist, a rig I bought specifically for him. He is becoming well known in the local area and has recently had his picture featured in the latest edition of Inside Motorcycles, a Canadian magazine. Hector also appears on the cover of the brochures advertising the Cash For Critters Charity Ride, a local event put on by our Southern Cruisers MC chapter to benefit the Brockville Animal Shelter. Although Hector is blind (we had to remove his eyes last year as a result of cataracts and glaucoma) he is still very much a normal biker dog and loves to ride any chance he gets. In fact, he gets quite annoyed when I go riding without him on my two-wheeled bike, the '06 Harley FXDI. Hector is well trained and does not need any restraint system while riding in the sidecar and has logged well over 5,000km so far as my riding buddy in all kinds of weather. If you want to learn more about Hector, feel free to visit our webpage at: htttp://www.gummiente.ca and go to the "Hector" link on the main page.
Liberate a Dog !
We'd like to remind people that there are
a lot of wonderful dogs waiting to be adopted at your local animal shelter.
You can also offer to volunteer to walk sheltered dogs while they await adoption.
The dogs love getting to leave their cages for a walk!
Please visit our adoption page for featured "Shelter-of-the-Month" and list of places to adopt.
