Duke's guardian, Lou writes:

This is Duke. Duke is a pit bull mix. His mother was rescued behind a dumpster in Wisconsin and taken to a shelter in Illinois that my girlfriend worked at. She fell in love with him & took him home 10 weeks later. He used to ride around town on my Harley Softail when he was smaller - my girlfriend would hold him in her lap - but he has since grown too big.

I made a Dog Carrier out of his original dog kennel by cutting the top off. I was able to purchase a rear rack and put the modified kennel on the back of my Kawasaki KLR650 and he loves riding around Ch-town with me. He can ride in weather down to around 40 degrees by putting a coat, my old heated vest, and a hat on him.

I have purchased a couple of pins for my girlfriend & I but just saw you have a biker dog club & am going to sign Duke up for that. Here are a couple of photos of him on the bike. I included one of my girlfriend on the Harley, but the dog is not in that photo. <Woofmaster says, well, we normally don't post photos without the dogs, but, well, AR-ROO-ROO-WOOF!>

Liberate a Dog !

We'd like to remind people that there are a lot of wonderful dogs waiting to be adopted at your local animal shelter.
You can also offer to volunteer to walk sheltered dogs while they await adoption.
The dogs love getting to leave their cages for a walk!
Please visit our adoption page for featured "Shelter-of-the-Month" and list of places to adopt.
