September 2006
Andy had a great summer and did his first long trip. He went 7,000km from Alberta, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, up to along Lake Superior to Thunder Bay, Ontario. We came home along the TransCanada 2 back to Alberta. It was a wonderful ride and we found Best Westerns and Super 8’s the best places for a pet.
Andy did have a small mishap. We had purchased a soft top kennel for him, and he decided the first day in, that he did not like it. He actually scratched through the material mess in the front and came out, falling off the GoldWing at 110km hr. (70mph). We thought for sure the little guy was a gonner. But nope, after a four hour stay at the Vet Hospital, he had no fractures, no internal bleeding, and had only broke a tooth. We call him our little Miracle Pup.
Around town he goes to our bike nights often and hangs out. Andy is becoming quiet well known in our Biker Community. He did his first Santa’s Anonymous Toy Run this year, along with 2,800 other bikers. He wears his patch proudly and loves to be on his Guardian’s bike!!
He is not quiet sure why we are not on the bikes so much any more, as winter is setting in. We keep walking past the bikes and putting him in the truck. And he just has the most be withered look on his face!! Till next year with more stories!
